Okay, but how do you see where it is without taking your eyes off, by the time I see it its already about to hit.

You don't really need to count so much. With enough practice you'll be able to tell from a glance. As you are learning there are a few things that can help you:

1) You should know when a tilt is coming, before it does position your camera to see one side.
2) Always run away from blue, if you see all red, run towards it.
3) If you see 2 blues, that will always be a large tilt, run as far away from it as you can.
4) Pay attention to the rest of your party, if everyone but you is bunched up in one area, you are probably at the wrong place.
