I've only just started doing EX Primals (except the pseudo-mandatory original three) despite joining FFXIV in 2.2. For all this time I had the fear that they were so horrifically difficult I'd have no chance. Of course the ARR ones are very easy due to unsynced but Ravanna, the only HW I've tried, isn't bad if everyone follows the mechanics.

What I have found is that people who expect a carry, or who aren't paying attention, are *dangerous*. A well prepared new runner is far less likely to cause a wipe than a veteran who thinks it's "LOL Faceroll". I've only done Sophia HM so far but I found the same, people who were running it only because they got it via roulette would fall off or eat far more AoEs because they assume they are invincible.
