Maybe try being a little more educated? I swear people with this attitude are the same that complain about how FFXIV playerbase is unskilled.
I know the frustration is bad and wiping is really not enjoyable, no matter what people say, especially when it's an enrage. But if you keep trying you will love the feeling of accomplishment after you clear it. I am totally sure you can do it, if I managed to clear and farm Sophia anyone can do it. Just don't give up!This will be my final update to this thread. I give up. I'm throwing in the towel. Sophia wins, and I guess Square Enix wins. I'm completely and totally done. This is a massive waste of time. I've seen Sophia at 8% multiple times, but she just raises both middle fingers and kills us all. Because that's what ALL difficult fights need. A time limit. Nah, I think I'm going to do...well, literally ANYTHING else.
To Hell with this.

The problem has nothing to do with the wiping or the primal. The problem is that SE gave two equally crappy ways to have to get your next weapon in the line up. You either hoof it through Soph or grind your life away in PoTD. The real lesson to be learned here is that end game gear grinds are abominations.

Sorry but atm 3 full runs of PoTD is normally what you need to get 235 weapon... I wouldnt consider that an "abomination".The problem has nothing to do with the wiping or the primal. Doesn't remind me of that at all.
For a long time the servers were horrible, making Titan HM a nightmare for many people. When they upgraded the servers it made a huge difference. A lot of people were able to clear it with ease afterwards.
@the OP
I'd suggest joining a guild that's able to clear EX modes, but you might need to adjust your attitude(when it comes to EX's). Some people may not want to work with you.
Take a breather, and if you haven't already tried making your own PF, then I suggest doing so. You'll have control over who's in your party; kicking the people holding you back will make a huge difference.

Um... What? PotD is an easy and quick way to get relevant weapons for subjobs and remains a great way to get good materia + money, effectively killing 3 birds with one stone.The problem has nothing to do with the wiping or the primal. Uhm...I'm pretty sure he's referring to the i255 step that's going to come out eventually - i235 isn't exactly "the next weapon in the line up", nor is it comparable to SophEx weapons. And I'm pretty sure they will be rather grindy, just as the i235 step was before the dozens of nerfs. I remember needing 9 full runs for the i235 weapon at the time and that's with disconnecting after the last boss several times in order to maximize chests in 41-50 >_>
To be honest I can see the issue some have with Sophia. I can only clear it with someone calling out the side and tilt (light or heavy), I can look around to both sides and I can't ever see the blue until its almost there but then as a tank I am not watching for possible attacks, swaps and all that good stuff. Can do the mechanics and all just fine, swap and buff when needed but when it comes to the tilt, maybe I am looking in the wrong location. The videos I've seen show having to look to the side unless her tethers also show the right color? Gets hectic, may need to eye that.
