All system in game voice chat!

I don't know if this has been adressed previously, but I've been playing the game since 1.0 and I've always wondered why isn't there a way to voice chat with everyone in your party when desired to do so. This has been an ongoing problem across all platforms. PC players, Xbox, PS4, and Mac players can all chat with each other with others from their own systems only, why not make something in game for everyone to easily communicate with the party members. I know there are some really rinky dink work arounds out there so that everyone can talk, but to get to that point it's just to much work. Everyone should be able to be allowed an equal opportunity to communicate and enjoy the game together. By building this into the game, it allows everyone the opportunity to advance equally without unfair advantages.

I honestly dislike voice chat unless it's on something extremely difficult. I play late at night with people sleeping in the same room. I also like the anonymous nature of the normal type chat. It shouldn't matter who I'm playing with but as it is you really don't know and that's a great thing. Trying to make a cross platform chat function would be impossible without all the platforms agreeing on something which you know isn't going to happen.

I just set up Discord for my FC. They have an Android and iOS client as well, so the people on PS3/PS4 have been using that. It doesn't cover random duty finder stuff, but I don't really want to talk to them anyway. Nobody in the FC has to use it, but the people who do use it seem to enjoy it.

As long as I can completely forget the feature exists, I wouldn't mind it. I only use voice chat with my FC and even there, only very very sparingly - that is, in raids. And even there I don't speak but rather chat, so I don't have to hear my own voice.

Because the built in voice chat is always worse than the dedicated ones. And Yoshi-P didn't want it to become a requirement because its in the game itself.

It would also take away resources better used elsewhere.

I only use Discord with friends and my static. To be honest, I'd rather not give the 500 DPS Duty Finder superstar a way to vocalize how the rest of the group is horrible after he stands in three AoEs and went from 100-0 with no way for the healer to save him.

Its not required, but it helps.

My first T8 clear was without voice chat.

No.. it is not "required" it just makes things a lot easier, JPS do it just fine in DF/RF and by using macros, it just requires you know the fight, and your job.
