People KEEP bringing up PvP and GC restrictions. This'll be the third time in this topic I've said that the team has out right said that Lore is not the reason for GC restrictions in frontlines.

I really don't understand why people keep bringing up the Yo-Kai Event as a reason why all lore is null and void
The event had a proper "reason" ingame. Minions were a thing before, based on just about anything the human (or non-human) mind could think of as well as just about any creature we have encountered so far.
Is it really so lore-breaking that strange creatures we haven't seen before from a place we have never been to before have now appeared?
Is it that unexplainable that someone who said CLEARLY that he is from said unknown place (the Au Ra NPC for the event) has weapons based on said creatures?
By that logic, the far-eastern world must be shattered once we travel there and they see my bomb/mandragora frying pans..

The dev team has shown with Aquapolis (and to a lesser extent Deep Dungeon) that they're willing to throw lore out the window for the sake of content. I think they gave one throw away line about an eccentric adventure who hid maps around the realm, but if Koji tried to explain in detail why treasure chests open portals to hundreds of dungeons each with their own sets of caged monsters (who feeds them?) that have been down there for years, presumably, he'd have a heart attack.

Palace of the Dead technically has lore reasons behind it, but for the most part

I am pretty sure Aquapolis is ONE dungeon that all portals lead to. Who feeds them? Probably said adventurer, since he set this whole thing up.
The reason why you encounter different monsters between different runs? Because you entered a different door in the maze down there.
You always start off somewhere else and try to make it to the middle where all paths lead to - the 7th room
Other explanation would be that since you killed some of the monsters last time, the adventurer had to replace them and grabbed what was near/easy to catch at the time.

How the portals work and why they are hidden in some treasure chests? Something something aether something magic bla bla.
It's not really different from the teleporters you find everywhere in dungeons, just the visuals are different.
