I'm certain its NOT a SE problem. Data routing to the other data centers would be, naturally enough, different from the routing to the NA data centers. There's something wrong with the path the data takes between the ISP and the NA data centers.

People have gotten in by using mobile hotspots (which, presumably being a different carrier than their home internet, use a different pathway). People have gotten in using that WTFast software, which does not help PS3/PS4 users. That software finds a different path for the data to travel on, bypassing whatever section is bottlenecking/stopping everyone else.

Its an internet infrastructure problem. Whether or not it was put in place maliciously a few days ago is not something I can speak to, but from what I'm gathering on SE's boards here, its an internet problem, not SE's problem.

Indeed...options are a screwed up DNS, DDoS on the DNS or infrastructure of the ISPs, or a lasped peering agreement between the ISPs involved and Level 3 (assuming SE still uses those ...people

It's a great demonstration of how broken the Internet is. Originally (with the original intent of the Internet) this should not have been a problem because the network protocols were designed to route around things like routing problems in particular nodes. Now, we lose service. As much as I hate lag, I'd prefer it if the Net could work as it's supposed to and reroute dynamically to find a new route.

I'm on Charter communications, and started having problems yesterday evening. I've been locked out since about 16 hours ago.

I have Comcast in Alabama and am having the same issue. Funny thing is, I can normally use my phone as a hotspot (T-Mobile service) and have good enough bandwidth to log in as do some crafting and other stuff that doesn't have a high latency high demand but even that keeps giving me a 2002 error. I think I got into the Ultros character select screen once only to be booted (90002 error) when trying to log into my main and then once again was booted out of the game completely with another 2002 error.

I managed to get into what looked like the character select screen once, but there was no hud and my character didn't appear. I clicked quit and tried to click on something else and nothing would work. Then I got the 2002.

got disconnected at 3am and still havent been able to log back on.. i have brighthouse ISP and live in tampa florida. server: Exodus. i see that they've atleast posted something about it now so they're acknowledging it so i hope soon there will be a fix :/

Its been 14 hours now whats going on Square...apparently my character is still logged in according to my friend who's able to log from, so tell me how my characters still online for 14 hours while I've d/c for 14 hours wtf.....this is starting to get frustrating.

yah same here, my char is still on while i arent on the game! lol still struggle to get on but wont let me , kept getting 10105 and 2002 error ugh

ISP's fault, SE's fault...

It's not affecting anything but my ability to use a product that SE provides me in exchange for money up front.

It's affecting every NA data center and world.

Sounds like SE's obligation to provide us with some answers, whether it's their fault or not. I don't think anyone cares whose fault it is, just get it fixed.

It is a trial, not sure how long it lasts but damnit, it logged me in for today and that's all that counts.
