Edit: Sorry, new to the forum. This was in response to Bellablossom's post.
That seems to be my situation as well. I'd love to have a proper explanation when this is all over with... and hopefully that comes some time soon.

me 2 i miss playing with my family n friends
Levi server here, using ATT uVerse as my ISP in Dallas TX. Got 90k'd last night and still cant log in.. either 10105 or 2002 errors.
I haven't seen tech support post about when we can expect a fix for this problem as it's clearly on their side. As I pay for this game every 6 months and have recently paid for the next 6 I would love this to be a priority.
I guess I'll add my wierdy experience here. At around 1am Eastern last night / early this morning I decided to hop onto my Faerie alt to check her plants. After a really long loading screen I got a 90k. Tried again and a third time with the same result. Then I tried logging back into my Balmung main and got in just fine. Logged out. Tried Faerie again. 90k.
After reading the forums I went through testing my characters and all but my balmung main and one balmung alt were unable to get in. Trying again this evening, it seems the same thing. My main and one Balmung alt can log in fine. My other characters, including the one on Faerie, get 90k and 10105 after long loading screens. The only thing the two that are able to get in have in common is they've both finished the current patch level whereas the others haven't. Not sure why or if that would have anything to do with it but there it is. I'm in central florida, using Brighthouse.
I guess at this rate I might as well kiss my Faerie alt's garden goodbye.

I got booted last night in a1n, and my character was apparently chilling inside of the duty for at least 3 hours. A little bit ago I got back home and was able to log on on my phone, and was able to log in with my character.
Speeds were more abysmal than usual, and I can't guarantee that others won't be locked out, but in my case at least I was able to log back in once I was actually able to get to the character select screen for my datacenter.
Ok my ISP has given me no end of issues regarding ff 14 in the past, but I don't think its my isp this time. I can log in reliably on alt characters but not my main, within the same server. Finally got my main in by exiting B-Net and when i hit the server queue I canceled then connected again (bypassing the queue). Have others tried this method to get in? (currently ingame but seems laggy, so expecting it to DC me at some point)
Edit: Should clarify trying to leave the queue and then trying again immediately as the "try this", not the B-Net part. I just turned off B-Net cuz sometimes it gives me issues in duty finder.
seems it is random others trying this skip the queue but still dc trying to get in.![]()

Just checked with my isp. They tried to ping the ip address4 the server and the return ping is timing out. Definitely a server issue on square enix end. Having no issues connecting to anything else. Hope that helps.
After over a month of random disconnects ; Now I can't log in at all. Much as I love this game , I'm abput to cancel til Sq-E gets it's act together.

My most recent gaming console is a N64, so I'm not sure how much you can setup inside a PS4. I do have a PC connected to a cable modem via wired network card, and a wireless network card in my PC turning it into a WiFi hotspot, and you can use a similar setup to connect your PS4 to a VPN.
If your laptop has a RJ45 port and a wireless card, and allows you to use both at the same time, it's fairly simple to set up connection sharing and make your PS4 connection run through your laptop. If not, you can just hook up a cheap USB network card. If you use a wire from the laptop to your PS4, your laptop's network card needs to support Auto MDIX, or you will need to use a crossover cable instead of a normal network cable.
Once you have the connection shared, you set up the shared connection to use the VPN.
There are several guides around the internet, PS4 forums and reddit have some people that can help you out. Also, a search for "PS4 VPN" can give you some idea of what's out there.
