Damn, I wonder what's up if they're performing an emergency maintenance. I appreciate that they're trying to be on top of it and working to figure out what the hell is even going on.

Also, to those complaining and demanding refunds/shouldn't be charged if they can't even keep the game running. I've been playing this game for almost 3 years and this is literally the ONLY time I've ever experienced any issues excluding issues relating to personal hardware or Steam. They do a far more marvelous job keeping their shit together than any of MMO I know. Don't be so quick to judge.

Sounds like you haven't played this game much. Its had lots of problems for years. For other mmo's haven't played any that had to shut down there servers so many times to fix problems.

Believe me this game goes down more than the other MMO games I play Elder Scrolls online and that game is hardly ever down and it runs very smooth and they're always coming out with new expansions every 6 months World of Warcraft it's okay if you like that type of playing style Final Fantasy 11 never goes down and plenty other ones that run stable without all the disconnection issues like this one

I have to agree with the other player in one of the previous post calling Final Fantasy 14 Dorito chip servers and how are they going to sell the new expansion like this

And they're also wanting to discontinue the PlayStation 3 PlayStation 4 gives the most people the problems on downloading the patches I would love to know what Square Enix is thinking

Well, to be fair, I've heard Playing this game on PS3 is a painful experience and many even Freeze in the middle of instances. If I really had to play on a console I'd prefer the PS4 and could stand to sit through the patch downloads as opposed to the PS3's limitations and problems during gameplay itself. Though, I really hope they atleast issue free PS3 Account transfers into PS4 Accounts when this happens, otherwise... Just wow...

With that said, I only been here for 4 months and I already see this game's tendency to take itself down very frequently lol. If anything though I feel bad for any of those who wanted to do an ingame marriage around this time. So many maintenance, an no end in sight! Now I wouldnt really know what to blame here since I dont know what the root of the stability is compared to other MMOs. Is it their game being different so innately might have issues others might not? Is it the way they configured and managed their servers?
(I for one really hate their Server dictatorship method, though it is only something I read about a while ago that explained why despite smooth actions I would still be hit by things I clearly ran far from, or essentially am a whole 2-3 seconds behind myself to the server...)

As a PlayStation 3 player I have not had nowhere near the difficulties with the game as much as I have seen my daughters have with their PlayStation 4

The only thing I've experienced with PlayStation 3 is slow loading issues which that is fine compared to not being able to update patch files are not being able to play the game
