That's ingenious. Thanks Jaden!I spoke to Level 3 and can shed a little light but first why is it i can connect to all websites plus league of legends and play fine. But when it comes to SE i cant do a damn thing. That sounds like a SE issue to me, now i dont know a lot about connections but it only makes sense. Now i pretended to be a comcast manager contacting Level 3 about the broken fiber in houston causeing issues and he stated that they have yet to find it and are currently trying to locate it right now. Can take up to 3-4 hours if it is a aerial cable and up to a day if it is buried. So my guess is we will be waiting till tomorrow night till we can play again. Rest up
The reason you can connect to other websites and League of Legends is because those games servers are in different locations, which might not require your ISP to route through Level 3 to get to.I spoke to Level 3 and can shed a little light but first why is it i can connect to all websites plus league of legends and play fine. Anyone have a rough idea how long 'some time' could be? And if I miss the eternal bonding thing in 12 hours will I have to redo the quest etc?
I was able to connect using Mudfish VPN. Free for the first day or so, and no credit card required. Works really well, no latency issues at all.
We've had them in the past, so no reason we won't have them in the future.
do anyone have any idea when it wud be back on?
My main is able to connect again, but my alts are not (except the one that already worked)Unless you alts are on par with your Main as far as data. They send/receive less packet counts/size. With Level 3 having high latency and packet loss and main characters having larger amounts of data between server/client, you having a much higher chance of disconnection.
Just something to consider. SE does not share its server information. Also if you logged out of a high pop area, that is a lot of info to send/receive as well.
So I'm inclined to think this is like the 2.0- issue, where characters get locked when you DC.
CLAIRE PENDRAGON
i got dced when i enter step of faith and ever since that happen, my char name is still on while i am not on there and kept dcing so i wonder if once all of this fix , wud it get my name sign off then i can be able to sign in ? and also i am afraid that i might lose my main char and not make my char freeze and cant be able to use my main char at all cuz of this.....
My home internet is thru Comcast, got disconnected in raid about 230a est and have not been able to reconnect since. I play on PS4 and have seen errors 10105 and 90006 cannot login to the server. No issues at all however when I tether thru my cell phone wifi with Verizon logs right in. Level3 and comcast suck
It's really simple, using a basic VPN that pins my traffic (e.g. Eidos/Ormuco reaches me through Cogent) to Cogent transit, I get into the Aether NA servers just fine.
A 14 hour+ ongoing outage that is mitigated by some minor traffic engineering amongst yourself and your upstreams makes me wonder who is running the show at Eidos/Square.
