Dated Gear

Hey,

Im more of a casual player, and havent spent enough time to keep up with whats going on. So Im level 19 Lancer now, and Im trying to upgrade my gear. Im leveling leatherworking and Carpetry to try and craft gear... but from checking mooglebox and the lodestone synth guides there doesnt seem to be a huge amount of gear I can upgrade too. Though checcking the old synths from mooglebox there is alot of dated equipment that would rock for my level.

The problem im finding is I can no longer seem to find the ingreedients needed for most of these, and im not even sure if they are in game at the moment.

Is anyone able to shed some light onto this? I did a forum search... but I didnt really find anything (admitantly didnt look through every thread though).

Most of the time, if you just do the crafting leves, you will get materials. If you wanna know what materials make what, here is a good website to use. You can also look for the gear you wanna upgrade to, as well. http://www.ffxiv-db.com/. You are also getting close to nm gear, if you could, I would ask someone to help you hunt some nms! They should know what nm drops what. If there is any other questions, just put a post in here and ask, I will get to it eventually. I'm surprised nobody, out of 30+ people has said anything though.

keep in mind you will not get a lot of the items needed to make the dated gear anymore for the most part since SE is phasing out that gear

I would probably go with this stuff, some if it is rank 20 but you will get 20 quickly

Iron Spear pre 20 Iron Lance 20+
Pirate's Bandana or Iron Sallet
Leather Jacket (Green)
Leather Armguards (Green) or Leather Mitts
Voyager's Belt (Green)
Dated Sheepskin Skirt <-- the exception
Leather Leggings (Brown)
