I just used WTFast and picked a UK network route and got in with no issues.

To rephrase my question, I mean is it ok in accordance to the TOS. This isn't something we would know upon first use. If there is no clear answer then it may be best to wait.

For those in waiting.. try pingzapper.. use los angeles tunnel.. iw as able to install and get in quickly with a trial. WTFast had problems with windows 10. I am playing now. \o/

So just FYI. I've been on Twitter trying to see if few people can dig more info like Tom Merritt from DTNS podcast says cant find any info on this outage. As we are discussing it Level3 decide to say this.

I managed to get in by cancelling the world full queue window then trying to get in immediately after. See if this helps others and if it does reply, could help them pinpoint issue.

I tried this. Unfortunately, no dice. It just booted me on that attempt.

The one time I was able to get inside the game everything was laggy. Couldn't do any actions or mount/dismount. Chat was working so I could tell my FC I was having issues but then the game disconnected on me. So I guess I'll try again in a few hours or tomorrow.

Just checked with my isp provider. They ran a ping test to the square enix ip address and the return ping is timing out. They pointed towards a server issue on square enix end. Not having any issues connecting to anything else. Hope that helps.

Not necessarily true. A router is down somewhere.

Ping doesn't reveal routing issues. The problem is routing based.
