I'd like to see different objectives for each floor, instead of just killing monster after monster. I think it'd be scary to have trap doors that could drop you below to a room filled with either random treasure/pomander chests or terrible monsters.

On a side note, I'm wondering if we need to have a max 30/30 aetherpool weapon and armor and/or a floor 50 cleared save before being allowed to enter the next 50 floors.
