I want Aerith's.
As a matter of fact, the Vet awards have been nothing
but male outfits...I'm glad we finally got a female outfit from the series.

It's because of the bizarre idea that female characters look great in male outfits but the opposite can never be true. I have no idea why the team thinks this way but I'd certainly support more iconic costumes entering the game. It's not like they're any girlier than some of the ilv200/210 job-specific sets.
(Would also have strongly preferred Yuna's garb over Tidus but that's my personal taste!)

The biggest problem I see with adding a Rydia costume is that the game currently has nothing like a one-piece leotard. It would likely need to be a piece of glamour armor that covers both the body and leg slots, and currently the only piece of gear in the game that does that is the Odin armor (which also covers the arms and the legs).
I'd love to see such an armor piece, though, as it opens up a lot of other glamour options, such as one-piece swimsuits. I'd also like to see a Celes glamour outfit (but that would provide yet another difficulty, in that Celes wears a cape).
(As a side note, I believe that the Caller's armor set was SE's attempt at making a gear set that looks "Rydia-ish", with its green coloration and flowy-ness. It's still not a perfect match, though.)
It's a double standard, to be sure, but one that's deeply enough entrenched that it should by no means be surprising to anyone. For a VERY long time, it's been the case that men in women's clothing is considered to be embarrassing, or funny, or emasculating, or any combination of those. Women in men's clothing, on the other hand, has been considered to be daring and empowering. It's all part of the very unfortunate belief that becoming womanly is "lowering" oneself, and becoming manly is "enhancing" oneself. It's because of the bizarre idea that female characters look great in male outfits but the opposite can never be true. I have no idea why the team thinks this way but I'd certainly support more iconic costumes entering the game. It's not like they're any girlier than some of the ilv200/210 job-specific sets.

Because of this, SE is reluctant to provide women's outfits for male characters because they believe (most likely rightly!) that only a small minority of players will use them sincerely. Most such crossdressers will do it to be clownish or goofy, instead. And, the combination of both sincere and clownish users will STILL be a small enough group that the development time spent would likely not justify the time investment redesigning the outfits to fit a male frame. So I do understand their decision, even if I don't much like it or the cultural reasons supporting it.
That said, I DO think that SE should do more to provide male equivalents for the female costumes they create. For example, the Gold Saucer bunny outfit. Even if they didn't want to give men an identical set of bikini bottoms, tights and bustier, they should have made a sexy costume for them as well, perhaps something more along the lines of Chippendale. (Something, it seems, that they're FINALLY getting around to actually doing). Just because it is understandable that they don't want to go through the effort of designing women's clothing for men to wear, doesn't mean that it's justifiable that there's half again as many glamour outfits that are female only than there are available for men.
EDIT:
Ran across this article today. It seems that SE isn't the only Japanese institution that is REALLY leery about men crossdressing. I guess the possibility of seeing a JP Man Faye terrifies them beyond all reason. XD

1. Only if it's a vet reward. I don't want this game to become a korean cash shop mmo. Optional items are gonna be optional, but it would be incredibly excessive to suddenly put in everyone's favorite FF outfits all of a sudden. Because no one will be satisfied with just one addition.
2. I'm all for clothes that don't differ between gender aside from fit. I like seeing girls in men's clothes cause it usually looks cooler. And I do love seeing pecs and abs in skimpy armor.
Mobius FF original outfit when? I want that side bod, don't deny me Square!
