So... EU not getting more payment options?

Well i may have misunderstood or something, but is like Yoshi talking majorly for US, but my account is under EU region and is felt that the way Yoshi word it is like EU might not get more payment option.

Heck im waiting for more answer outside of EU region, eg. AUS, SG, Brunei, etc.(S.E.A, Oceanic regions)

i was so worried when i saw a email letter last time saying uhh 9-10 months ago that C&B will not entertain cards from my country. ;_;

Yoshida: FFXIV will be using the Square Enix ID system similar to what is used on FFXI right now. Currently the payment system we have on FFXI is not been received very well by a lot of players because the payment options were not what they expected. So we’ve heard the voices of all those players, and very soon we’re going to be introducing options that will work better for North American users that want to play the game. The current system that we are using is the European standard, but that’s not working very well in North America.

Mind you, I've called ClickandBuy and they said they don't accept credit cards from Switzerland, yet they let me do an account (around a year ago), registrate a credit card and removing 2€ from it, and those 2€ never got my credit card validated because the bastards told me about that when I've called them (like 2 months ago). So basically I wasted my f*cking time about something they could've told me the moment I've created the account.
I hope for you, SE, that you implement a good EU payment system! And don't exclude Switzerland for God's sake!

Fervently let them know that not all of Europe is on board with just keeping it as is. Though I did see a thread a few days ago where they used PayPal. Does that work for you?

Nope. i've seen that thread, and still no option for Paypal, well is a masquerade as a Ultimate Pay so is like going through 2 gateway

My apologies for the confusion around this. European players will also have extra (and easier) payment options in the future. An official announcement will be made soon, please don't worry!

Or just let us use normal CC card to pay, like every other big name MMO does... Click and Buy is awful, so is Paypal, if you make a game where paying is difficult you will be loosing loads of customers.
Please consider proper payment option for ALL regions.

This is another layer of difficulty that cuts a lot of players from playing the game. You have no idea what kind of discussions I had to go through with my bf to get him hand his account info to a relatively unknown company that has gotten a lot of negative reviews from users and other companies.

He was really excited to play at first but I'm telling you without my persuasion C & B would have made him not think about playing XIV ever again.

It's just one guy I know but especially today with disasters like psn and steam accounts being hacked everyone else is upping their game when it comes to payment options and security. SE ignoring this issue is not a solution.

If they plan on fixing it we want details or it didn't happen.

Personally I'd prefer no 3rd party business' between me and the product at all.
