I have a question, I returned to ff recently, what happened to weapon throw, its darkened out for me now for pvp and I don't know how to reinstate it, thanks.

It is a tank only skill now. Dragoon, Monks and Ninja no longer get access to it. Not like Monk and Ninja need it anyway but Dragoon got shafted on that just like they got shafted with Feint and Skewer and Impulse Rush... But alas I'm off topic. Long story short only Warrior, Paladin and Dark Knight have weapon throw now.
Loving this skill so much at the moment as its great tool for escaping or gap closing, stuff like charge would be cooler but this has 2 way use so its actually better than that. I really feel sorry for melees whose lost this skill.
I agree. I feel for their pain (especially drg's), but Tanks really do need it more than they do. The fact that War/Pld have no gap closer at all is enough of a reason for it to have been swapped over. Chasing Free-casting healers or ranged players around the arena is a nightmare without this skill. It duel usage for chases/escapes also provides a good bit of utility in a support role. It was a good change, in my opinion.
I don't know why you would feel melee's pain. In the feast they're easily the role capable of having the most impact on a match, not to mention every melee either has a speedboost or gap closer. DRG has THREE potential gapclosers, they do not need a ranged heavy on top of that.
I agree the tanks most definitely need weapon throw much more than melees but let's not kid ourselves Dragoon mobility is pretty shit compared to the other 2 melees. It's certainly not debilitating to the extent that it makes the job unplayable or anything but it is extremely noticeable. Their gap closers run on cooldowns that are at minimum twice as long as Nin/Monk and they have no innate enhanced movement speed. And I would hardly consider elusive jump much of a gap closer when it's animation and positioning requirement to use it as a gap closer makes it much clunkier than Nins jump version and runs on a 3 minute cooldown. But anyway the skill was needed more on the tanks than melee that can't be disputed.
I feel their pain because, after using Weapon Throw for an entire season, I know just how awesome the skill is.I don't know why you would feel melee's pain. In the feast they're easily the role capable of having the most impact on a match, not to mention every melee either has a speedboost or gap closer. DRG has THREE potential gapclosers, they do not need a ranged heavy on top of that.
There's no debate whatsoever that Tanks need it WAY more than any melee job does, but it would still suck to lose such an awesome move. Not only did they lose an ability which grants double utility in either escape from or kill a target, but it also would throw a wrench into your muscle memory early into the season. Using Weapon Throw on a fleeing or chasing target was likely second nature to any melee who had it in Season 1. Suddenly not being able to use it would probably take a while to get used to.
