Question on demolishing a house.

If you self demolish a house, do you get the return 80% back? I want to server hop, and you obviously cant' take it with you.Where I'm going even with lowered pricing is more expensive, and obviously i have to do the bad thing, (pay someone to move,) or pray i get lucky to have one again. A search yielded so much controversy, but no clear cut answer.

Unfortunately, you will not get your gil back if you choose to self-demolish your house.

As Jillian said, you get no gil back from demolishing it yourself. You have to wait 45 days without entering the house for the 80% return. You could ask a GM if it's ok to sell the relinquishment of your plot for an equal or lesser amount than you paid for it. At this point I honestly don't know what they consider against the rules since they still haven't made it crystal clear. If a GM is reading this, a clear concise "what is and what is not allowed" in regards to selling housing plots stickied to the top of this forum sure would be swell! And maybe answer follow-up questions to it so we can stop waiting months to submit them to the live letters?

Like I said jumping servers, I don't want a specific person to enterprise it, I'd rather Sell cheaply than wait 45 days to jump servers, only to have one of the reasons I'm leaving my current server worse for everyone.

Sorry, but that's literally your options right now.

1) Demolish it for no money so you can move straight away.
2) Try and sell the house, but you risk getting in trouble with the GMs
3) Wait 45 days without entering, pick up the 80% after it demolishes.

People are on the lookout more than ever on Diabolos lately. Open plots are gone in minutes. Funny because right after they started the timer a few opened up for hours. Wonder what changed. IMO it's working as designed though. People in my FC periodically browse the wards (it takes like 30 seconds per area if you happen to be there) and announce it in the various chats. Anyone looking to buy pops over and snatches it. Really don't think there needs to be some elaborate system put in place.

Quite alright to be. Part of my issue is my fcmates can't afford a mansion. The other part is 4 FC's had come together. But Famfrit has a certain group buying/overpaying for houses. I have told this individual no, I will not sell. When I say sell a house, it's more have the money to buy out the plot back from SE, with tips appreciated. I have been contacting People that tell me they want an FC mansion. But no replies yet. Thanks for understanding. It was a great step when Famfrit rid itself of Gil Bill, but I don't want another enterprising person/FC to take it. I'd like a group or a person that wants it.
