The best thing to do then is call for help. You'll usually find a player willing to at least distract it for you if you ask nicely.
I'm kind of surprised I never see shouts for rezzes anymore.
You haven't really played Ro have you.. the A and S ranks can be easily avoided here, the MVPs in Ragnarok will chase you down the whole map the minute you're in its sight. I think its fine if A ranks are in low level areas, every game should have that.
In that case, how is it that in al the time I have played his game, I have never seen an A spawn anywhere close to one ot the major cities, and now in the space of two days I find 2?
I'm glad FFXIV is better, but that relative comparison doesn't alter this being a stupid thing.
Also, the B ranks do not aggro, so not every big thing that looks like it eats faces eats faces.
The world is a dangerous place.
You have to deal with that.

The world is still dangerous for low level characters. Try running through Northern Thanalan when you're level 10, or running from Gridania to Ul'dah.
I love the sympathy of level 60 people who can solo an A rank for players who don't stand a chance. Wonderful people, such a caring community.
You know I don't hunt that much on my main character, and in all the time I've played I've not seen an A rank as close as these to areas where new players are going to be. But, he, whatever. Perhaps SE should start dropping level 120 (Yes, I know they don't exist, but you get the point I am sure) Elites in Idylshire to shake things up?Lol given how long those have been around, you really never thought about it while killing them? It is always amusing seeing an S rank pop right on a single digit fate though. I must say that this element does bring back the nostalgia of Ragnarok Online and their odd placement for elite mobs. Or with those stupid summoning branches that people could use to summon elites. Oh the trolling was real in that game. Zoning into Angelring and his army of porings and new people spamming "WTF happened?!?!?!"
Nope, I didn't see Girtab until I was dead, it was in trees and not easily seen. It's not possible to run away from what already killed you before you see it.
As for not playing XI, don't worry I wouldn't play that game if you lined it's paths with bikini models.
