DPS wise, it's better to let the WAR/DRK tank anyway, since PLD has nothing really going for it aggressively when it comes to being MT. Though for a WAR to MT, it's best if the warrior is competent. Unrelated, but am I the only one that gets annoyed when a WAR pulls in defiance without Unchained?

The problem with DRK MT / PLD OT is that Royal Authority has Savage Blade attached to it, so eventually the DRK is going to need to do at least 1 more Power Slash. oGCD-wise DRK is definitely better, even if we're just talking about Reprisal since it's a -10% damage debuff as well as a 210 potency hit. I personally prefer WAR pulling over both in 24mans, simply because even though you'll lose Reprisal/Low Blow Procs/Shield Swipe, you'll gain a MT who won't lose hate to anyone as well as Berserk buffed Vengeance ticks. Obviously ideally the WAR pulls and then there's a swap, but that's not happening in a 24man raid.

Anyway what I usually do is just check what the other two tanks' stances are and if they're both in tank stance then I just chill in Deliverance for ~10s. If they haven't started a countdown by then, I start mine, and pull at 0. If they pull off me, I let them have it. Pretty simple system, has worked for me every time since Crystal tower.

If I run in first, grab the boss, hit it with Overpower/Flash/Whatever DRKs do and I'm in Defiance/Shield Oath/Whatever DRKs do, I'm intending to tank it. Unless there is a boss switch mechanic that happens within two seconds of the pull, don't try to take it from me.

You're just going to get people killed. Probably me when I haven't realized what you've moronically done so I don't expect Titan to pound me over the edge.

Well.. you're pulling the boss with sword oath, of course i'm gonna rip it from you as your co-tank.. Jokes aside, I've experienced lots of my co-tanks especially in ex primals who intently click not ready as I ready check then charge to the boss and in most cases like in shiva extreme, they die as soon as Ice brand hit.

Reminds me of an instance in A8 month or so back, I asked if he wanted to tank but no answer. So I run in and every time he tried to rip aggro from me he would die instantly. The hilarious part to me was he ripped him just long enough to get a good rocket punch on his last phase. To be honest, most times when I see my co-tank has his stance up I will just drop it, way I see it is I have less worries myself.

People still do this. Every time I queue for WoD someone tries to take aggro off me, including multiple provoke attempts. It's funny and sad at the same time. I always check the other tanks' gear; I don't think they hardly ever check mine. The last one trying to troll me at the bosses was a level 50+ warrior with a 115 normal quality axe. Not gonna happen, kid.

Granted, my gear is way behind right now so I haven't got back to tanking, but I always kind of enjoyed the aggro battles in the 24-mans. If you can take it from me, fine I'll dps. Oh you voke'd and I just took it back in 1 hit, mwuhahah try again. *pops berserk*

Either way, shouldn't let it get to you OP, brush it off and dps. Or you can try to make them work harder for it, and laugh at them when they fail.

In situations like this, do what I do, ensure your team survives to tell the tale. I have learned that his behavior will continue to happen. This Is why I love playing OT. Not only because it is better for WAR Tanks in general but because I love seeing other tanks let their entire teams perish as they fight for hate. As long as my healers and dps are secure and safe, I could not care less for another persons team. It is a sad perspective but a necessary one.

That actually happened in a Weeping City I was in a couple of weeks ago. A and C slowly wiped as adds destroyed them. My alliance stayed up and healthy long enough to finish the boss.

I usually prefer to off tank in the 24 mans where I know other tanks aren't picking up adds. If boss tank mechanics are getting screwed up, though, I'm happy to step up and pick up the boss.
