The One Who Pulled in Defiance/Sword Oath/Whatever DRKs Do

Well.. you're pulling the boss with sword oath, of course i'm gonna rip it from you as your co-tank.. Jokes aside, I've experienced lots of my co-tanks especially in ex primals who intently click not ready as I ready check then charge to the boss and in most cases like in shiva extreme, they die as soon as Ice brand hit.

Wow tanks trying to take the aggro spot is actually a thing? Wow..for as long as I can recall I have never encountered that in a 24man raid, especially with WC.

Was* a thing, back when CT, ST and WoD were relevant, and it was quite a spectacle to watch. Raids would wipe, /a chat complaining would start, trolls would come out and play, players would rage quit... Ahh the good ol' days. It's a lot calmer with VA and WC.

People still do this. Every time I queue for WoD someone tries to take aggro off me, including multiple provoke attempts. It's funny and sad at the same time. I always check the other tanks' gear; I don't think they hardly ever check mine. The last one trying to troll me at the bosses was a level 50+ warrior with a 115 normal quality axe. Not gonna happen, kid.

Granted, my gear is way behind right now so I haven't got back to tanking, but I always kind of enjoyed the aggro battles in the 24-mans. If you can take it from me, fine I'll dps. Oh you voke'd and I just took it back in 1 hit, mwuhahah try again. *pops berserk*

Either way, shouldn't let it get to you OP, brush it off and dps. Or you can try to make them work harder for it, and laugh at them when they fail.

In situations like this, do what I do, ensure your team survives to tell the tale. I have learned that his behavior will continue to happen. This Is why I love playing OT. Not only because it is better for WAR Tanks in general but because I love seeing other tanks let their entire teams perish as they fight for hate. As long as my healers and dps are secure and safe, I could not care less for another persons team. It is a sad perspective but a necessary one.

That actually happened in a Weeping City I was in a couple of weeks ago. A and C slowly wiped as adds destroyed them. My alliance stayed up and healthy long enough to finish the boss.

I usually prefer to off tank in the 24 mans where I know other tanks aren't picking up adds. If boss tank mechanics are getting screwed up, though, I'm happy to step up and pick up the boss.

Maybe it's me, but I don't fight over aggro so I don't have these issues.

What I do is look at the other tanks stance. If we both are in identical stances I type 3 simple words; "MT OR OT?" If we are in opposite stances I type 3 Simple words "MT OR OT?"

Sure it's been said before but communication is "Key" in any situation.

Reminds me of an instance in A8 month or so back, I asked if he wanted to tank but no answer. So I run in and every time he tried to rip aggro from me he would die instantly. The hilarious part to me was he ripped him just long enough to get a good rocket punch on his last phase. To be honest, most times when I see my co-tank has his stance up I will just drop it, way I see it is I have less worries myself.

Meanwhile, while you are typing, the other tank is running in to pull,

They never reply.

Bonus round: they stand around waiting, someone else pulls, they run in and provoke. And provoke. And provoke.

There other things that have to be considered: The Healers.

If the PLD is poorly equipped and the DRK or WAR is way better, the PLD should NOT be MT. A better equipped Tank let healer have a easier run and also have time to attack, boosting DPS.
