I was gona try it kinda like when im in range and the tank is hold good hate I have no need to not be in it but, like when things get a bit crazy and I have to move around or on a boss with alot of aoes turn it off So im hoping I can get away with that without people saying stuff to me for not using

Only reason it should be off is if the fight you're doing has so much movement that you miss out on several GCDs due to being unable to cast your attacks.

It should be up at least 90% of the time, otherwise you lose out on several of your best skills.
