Where he be? sorta spoilery

Being hopeful here, with the story moving to East shroud, the shroud in general as we go into 4.0 i believe, i'm still wondering where on earth the serpent grand marshal is. We have seen the immortal flames one during 2.x and played a pretty huge role in the story, and as did the maelstrom one with the whole levi questline and currently hullbreaker hm.

Yeah, I'd like to know what happened to him, too. I know he was seen in 1.0, but 2.0 and beyond he's never seen or mentioned.

I don't think he's dead or else it should have been mentioned in the GC chain of command chart. Even Roaille had some dialogue prior to the revelation.

But yeah, I would love to see more of him and his interactions between Kan-E-Senna. Even Heuloix and her body guards have screentime. A shame, since he does look like a hardened war vet.

Grand Serpent Marshal Swethryk Brookstone is entirely absent from ARR.

Grand Marshal Brookstone isn't the only Gridanian npc from 1.0 MIA - has anyone seen Swethyna, the commander of the Wood Wailers lately?

She appeared quite frequently during the 1.0 Gridanian storyline, personally leading the Wood Wailers on multiple occasions as the LNC counterpart to Bowlord Lewin. Now however, post Calamity in the ARR Gridania storyline and after, Lewin appears frequently.... yet Swethyna is conspicuously absent - she's not even mentioned anywhere in ARR as far as I'm aware, let alone physically appears, other than appearing out of game next to Lewin in this Gridania propaganda artwork for ARR (she's the masked LNC in the light purple armour next to Lewin in the top left corner).

Other than that, I am completely unaware of her appearing anywhere in ARR at all. So what happened to her?

Maybe, just maybe Bahamut's rampage altered things on a quantum level? That the Asican Rejoinings can remove people from reality on the "prime" timeline? Maybe Gridania was so closely tied to whatever fragment was destroyed that the Calamity retconned out these people?

Unlike Brookstone, Swethyna's NPC data does still exist, but I can't find it being used anywhere, yet.

I wonder if they're both involved in whatever is going on in the Western Shroud. There was some mention of an offensive going on there in the Gridanian storyline, I recall.

Well, Raubahn has some (massive) story significance beyond being the Grand Flame Marshall, and the Grand Storm Marshal didn't appear until the Leviathan storyline but has since appeared fairly frequently as a side-character, so both of them have had reason to appear in the story. Perhaps they just haven't had a good enough reason to introduce the Grand Serpent Marshall in the Main Scenario yet? As we are heading to Ala Mhigo (most likely) then I could get behind what PArcher said (I never started a Gridanian Adventurer, so I don't know the story enough to confirm that).
