Why was a 2+ hour maintenance needed for this? Couldn't this wait until a more major patch?
Makes me think there are some ninja changes occurring.
Just saying.

You do Realize most Maint. is 2-3hrs long.. its nothing new.. nothing for a Thread to be posted about....
I dunno if you were following some of the other sections of the forums but this is fixing the bug where your path companion takes a million damage and dies in one hit if an enemy so much as looks at them in one of the story quests, so I'd say it was high priority.
Patch maintenance is almost always 2 hours so it's most likely some shutdown/maintenance/install/startup routine that they go through for each update.
They're called Hotfixes for something.

shut down server, backup, implement hotfixs, reboot OS, start up, etc etc etc.
may even take more than 3-4hour, damn those server are faster than my cluster servers.
The issue was a bit more in-depth than the current hotfix news indicates (and was a little vague, so I updated it). Basically, when we removed physical levels in 1.19, the Path Companions suffered a balance issue (alluded to above) and needed to be adjusted because it was causing issues for users when tackling the main scenario.

Thanks for the update. That does make a lot more sense. The issue was a bit more in-depth than the current hotfix news indicates (and was a little vague, so I updated it). CaptainPicard does the hotfix make your underarm hair get split ends?
Or let me guess... It makes your knees buckle
