And have wings like that block my screen when I'm raiding or when certain mechanics in a raids requires more visibility, no thanks. And yes that's coming from someone who has played F2P games for a pretty good amount of time. And most of the nicer looking wings are from gacha boxes, I have had players spending 1,100 USD for wings with totally 0 stats boost.
And just so you know the game i played before, has the same publisher as the one hosting FFXIV China, and this isn't the first time they do all this regional exclusive items, players got so sick of it. IF you haven't played Shanda international games before, you haven't seen the a company much worse than Nexon and Asiasoft.
I've been playing DN for close to 6years, it is shanda's biggest game. Since they own Eyedentity, they get them to make exclusive items for the China region, if the english players want them we have to pay a certain amount to get them since there is " copyright (lol)". When it comes to OUR exclusive items, they got everything. Despite our server yielding the most profit we get subpar treatment and because the begging for exclusive items became so common, this practice occurred more often.
If you hadn't notice things are slowly changing, we're having more codes locked behind merchandises, prices are increasing for the mog station and more "regional exclusive" items. While this isn't game changing, whether it is ethical is another thing. So.. becareful of what you wish for, because the things I'm seeing now is what exactly happened to the game I came from and if anything the players dug their own graves.
I'd rather money be spent on improving the game, the servers and etc. Not something that every F2P MMO has. Adding additional stuff requires budget and time, for F2P games I can understand because how much money they generate is base on how many people buy their cash items, so obviously it has to look good. We are a subscription base game, that is this game's lifeline, the cash shop here is just a bonus. Just so you know Dragon Nest only gets big patches once every year, almost 90% of the time it is gachapon OR spend to win events. Because the opposing players left the ones who stayed behind accepted how they did things the company just continues to milk its players.
