The lore arguments in this thread baffle me. Here is the lore: "I went to my friend's house that happen to be a crafter and we took a lot of feathers and wood and supplies and we made these cool wings to attach into our character's costumes! No, we cant fly with them, they made of wood, feathers and glue!"

Man why would you wear wings when you can face off against primals in a bikini?

I heard so many people complain about the price for the outfit they recently moved over. It's not supposed to be for us, be prepared to pay for it. This is why we can't have nice things.

Personally, I wouldn't call charging us $18 for things like this "nice things".

Usually, I hang in the Japanese forums for info gathering. I come in here for popcorn sessions...sorta like slowing down at the scene of an accident. Curiosity I suppose.

it's honestly ridiculous. I'm at work or I'll post my 'clothes is serious business' pic I saved from another poster a year ago. who cares? if anything we should be upset it's going in cash shop but I'm not saying nothing about that anymore.

China is also a different market. Maybe having wings is popular in Chinese (paying or free) games and they're adding them to emulate that and generate extra revenue. Wasn't the Chinese version not doing too well in sales?

Its possible given that the Chinese and Koreans might see Western Motifs as exotic (before anyone asks, the idea of Angels being just like Harpies were invented in the Renaissance). Doubly so for the same reason they are seemingly unpopular here. A blatant Power fantasy.

Given that any mildly attractive white person in China is sort of treated like a celebrity (people like to take pictures with you), it's most definitely a regional thing. Things that aren't China are very popular there. Sort of like Thailand's fascination with Hitler, though obviously not even remotely as ignorant lol.
