Camphor - Sort it out already...

Can we have a change to camphor, either to allow triple yield on synthesis or for Eikon / Hemicyon Leather to only require 1 per synth. The amount of work required to make the key mats for Leatherworker are grossly disproportionate to all the other classes.
Coupled with the noted nightmare of gathering it, the time required to craft even NQ the requisite amount of camphor for any leatherworker product is annoying, and none of the other 4* mats have this requirement.

How is getting Camphor hard? Stealthing and short flying between nodes is not slower or harder than any other set of nodes I've gathered.

You're missing the point. OP isn't saying that it's hard to get Camphor, but that it's tedious to farm the branches and turn them into Camphor. The average recipe that needs Eikon Leather will need 30 branches and 6 2-star crafts.
Other crafts don't have this, so I don't see the issue in lowering the amount of Camphor needed for a piece of Eikon Leather down to 1. If that's out of the question, at least allow crafters to quicksynth Camphor.

Yeah, camphor is pain. And when I look at LTW recipes and the amount of materials needed I have to think that someone in SE hates this job. It is way out of line compared to other jobs.

Actually, I think someone may hate carpenter more. Most of the new mats require 1 lv 50 item to make, wood requires 9x Borax. Borax, which can't be acquired HQ. I know the old mats are weighted less when it comes to how far the initial quality boost comes from HQ source mats, but 9x Borax still adds up.

I really don't think so, camphor is so much worse. The borax from carpenter isn't being used in the final craft, so whether or not the resulting product is hq does not matter much. Even if the final product comes out NQ it doesn't matter much cause the mats are all very easy to get. Leather worker recipes all require 2x or 3x more dissolvent and leathers, cloths, lumber, or ingot as well as the evil camphor so if one comes out NQ its a bit more painful.

Even though I dropped leather spec cause of how horrible camphor is I don't think it should be changed. It gives scrub crafters a way to make a bit of money by making camphor for better crafters, it keeps the leather market healthy, and even bad crafters can hq leather stuff fairly easily if they take the time to hq the camphor.

You can buy Camphorwood Branches at NQ quality from the Moogle beast tribe vendor if you've maxed out the reputation. I don't know if that's much help, but I know for a fact you can.

That will be same with GSM then since you need to make platinum ingot with 9x raziqsap. But compared with those, LTW still the most annoying one because of the camphor ingredient.

Noooo, Platinum Ingot is a lv 50 recipe. Lv 60 wood recipes use Borax. Platinum Ingots are a joke to HQ from NQ mats vs Teak and NQ Borax because of the recipe level difference.
