Encyclopædia Eorzea (Lore book) Glamour

hello. i don't really post much on the forums, but i thought this might be a good idea.

SMN/SCH currently have no MGP glamour weapons in the Gold Saucer, so with the release of the Encyclopædia Eorzea, i thought perhaps it might be a good idea.

on the inside of the book, two of the pages from it could even be displayed. i am aware that may be difficult to do, so that isn't that important.

so, anyone think is might be a good idea?

I don't know about the inside pages, simply due to difficulties getting it to work, but the overall idea is excellent!

well I'm glad that I'm not alone thinking it would be a good idea.

i know it's not a very important issue, but i do think that SMN/SCH are long overdue a MGP glamour weapon. i just hope others feel the same way.

The reason Summoner and Scholar doesn't have Gold Saucer weapons is due to all the weapons you can get for prizes being ripped from weapons used by enemies. Currently, there's no enemy Scholar or Summoner that has their own unique book.

i mean if that is the convention for the MGP weapons then fine

but i think it would be nice as a glamour in general in game. perhaps as a craftable glamour?

Doesn't Tristan Nightflicker have his own book during the Summoner quest or has that been implemented? There's also a pair of siblings that each have a unique book (if you've seen the cutscenes from Coil). Granted the twins aren't enemies but the lack of the weapons purely down to this lore is a bit silly.

As for Tristan having his own unique book, on that i cannot say, but if it's ture then I'm not adverse to that. as for the twins... yeah I don't think we will be getting those... like ever...

I still think that the Encyclopædia Eorzea being a glamour is still a good idea. and whether it be bought with MGP or crafted, I'd still love to see it be put into the game.

Apparently the Namingway minion pulls out the book every now and then. The book is in the game, the lore is fulfilled, therefore there's no reason we can't get it in the GS.

I don't see this happening as Miles already explained: the weapons available at Gold Saucer are all unique weapons used by enemies. As enemy ACNs all use grimoires already available to the player, hence no Gold Saucer ACNs weapons. Alphinaud and Alisaie's unique grimoires also won't be available because of their lore connection (that and they're npcs, not enemies).

As for Tristan, according to FF Wiki he just uses a pallette swap of Ifrit's Grimoire, so that's hardly unique other than it's colour. So that counts him out too if it's correct (the Gold Saucer weapons are all unique in design).

And besides, if you think about it Encyclopedia Eorzea is in the game already, albeit not as equipment, but as a house furnishing.... but given the description says it's "pages are all blank", I guess that doesn't really count.

yes i am aware of the housing item. so ok, maybe not an MGP weapon, but it could still be a crafted glamour item, or bought somewhere. i know its not very important, but wouldn't it be nice to have? i think it would be a rather fun novelty item.
