No offense, but that's kind of a weaksauce argument if you ask me.

The main challenge of an MMO is always a moving target. What's hard to do this year will be a piece of cake the next (if anyone even cares to take the challenge anymore). You couldn't have honestly thought getting to rank 50 was it, could you? Or getting Ifrit weapons? Or amassing materia gear?

I mean, raising the level cap alone will render all of these accomplishments moot in one fell swoop, and everyone is expecting that to happen someday.

That's the whole point of dynamic content. There's always going to be something else to strive for over the horizon. Once the new hard things arrive, the old hard things are made easy so you can get on with the task of doing the new hard things like everyone else is. Otherwise, you can never attract new blood because the hoops and hurdles are too high to participate in what most current players have moved on to, and ultimately, people give up because they can't get to that multiplayer experience they're hoping for.

The whole point i'm trying to make is A. Right now it's looking for that the level cap will not be raised for a very long time.. B. Right now cap is 50 yeah if everyone is 50 then midcore for this game is gone and right now, nourishing new players is what the game could use... the same thing applies later if the cap is raised and leveling stays the same, right now if the cap was raised to sixty in a stronghold camp you'd see someone hit 60 in two days cap, I'd say because people on my server (true story) are getting multiple jobs from 40-50 in one day.. if that's not BS then nothing is I mean really? Right now 50 IS the cap, not 60, not 70 as of now 50 should be relatively hard to get to, and as new content is introduced then likewise you become stronger and leveling on higher mobs becomes easier thus in the end it a constant rate of change in terms of level progression; by no means should it be a capable of being done in a day...... Even now the effects of this are starting to be seen; the last time i've seen remotely low level content would be a 34-->40 grind shout.. from 40+ it's a cake walk seriously..

And just to reiterate my point i'm not trying to say that the game is staying still, I'm not retarded as I've been playing MMO's since I was very young.. The point i'm trying to make is; right now the way the system is set up, it's screwing itself in not only replay-ability, and play-ability in general but also marketability, it's increasingly evident when server spikes only occur around patch dates, due to returning players hoping the game has gotten better, and its followed by the usual fizzling out after people beat content..

I mean personally I love the game, i've followed it since it was in it's "ooo secret project" stages but right now the leveling is wayyy to easy, it's killing the game, and it needs to be fixed... NO game should be this easy. And before someone says oo you don't have everyjob to 50 stfu,, I play classes I want to play I levled archer and lancer to 50 pre Bullshit so I'll take it for whats it worth..

TL;DR --> I'm not retarded, games progress, duh, games too easy, 40-50 in a day wdf.. 1-50 in two even more WDF...

First of all, the possibility exists (I think it's a remote one, but still) that the cap could be raised before 2.0 comes out. Yoshida hasn't ruled it out.

Second, level 50 could very well end up being the heart of mid-level content once the cap is bumped up a few times. Even in old school FFXI, levels 1 through 50 were relatively painless compared to the next 25. What you think of as mid-level now will be considered low-level once the cap is raised.

And there's plenty of hand-holding content planned for the low level stage of the game in 2.0 already. A fresh new PS3 player won't even remotely have the same experience you knew at all. Trying to preserve it is meaningless.
