    TO be fear, I think it's more the 1000XP/kill chains that caused this problem more so than the PLing

    Yoshida seems to be under the impression that 1 Character should take the same amount of time as 1 Character in another game. He doesn't seem to realize the point of the Multiple Class Character is to have 18 Characters worth of gameplay in 1.

    So, people can powerlevel to max level in combat classes. So what? Not only is this level cap going to be increased, but you can't powerlevel half the classes in the game. It's a non-issue.

    The bigger problem is player mindsets. Getting to max level in a game like this is not an achievement. Quit treating it like one.

    There is a clear separation in mindset... those who feel leveling to max is something they should be proud of as an achievement and those who feel leveling is the pre-cursor to the real stuff.

    FFXIV is NOT the same as FFXI at launch where it took months to get max level and finding parties was insane. Clearly SE knows that leveling shouldn't be such a struggle *point @ Abyssssssseaahhhhh*

    Personally I think the pace is fine, you can go as slow or as fast as you want. Although, I've never been in a party where someone said "woah guys let's slow down, we are getting too much exp". As long as they keep the same exp hierarchy when the level cap increases it should be fine, 1 - 50 in a week, 50 - 60 in another week possibly longer. Long as they don't pull a WoW and make the earlier cap easier to attain after each increase / expansion I think the game will do fine as time moves forward.

    Speak for yourself, it took me a whole year to finally start playing this terrible game actively & reach 50. 1.19 specifically, I was sitting in 40s for months but all the changes actually made it fun to play finally. So yeah, it was achievement and I'm sure it was for others. Telling people they can't have a certain mindset is down right idiotic, let people play how they want. And the fact that you can actually level all the battle classes extremely fast is definitely not a "so what", this is more of a problem for new players than anyone else. Everyone maxes all their battles, it'll just be harder on new players until they themselves find a pl to bum.
