How PL'ing killed FFXIV.

Predict: Game will take a massive hit to population at subscriptions and failure will ensue.

Remeber all the polls about who is staying and who is leaving? Well let's take a repoll now that the majority of the population has fast-tracked their way to every meaningful goal. You have a 50 in every class you wanted right? Just PL up to 40 and then Spiritbind Party to 50. 2-3 days tops. Lame.

So what do I tell my friends about FFXIV now?

"Well, I'm afraid it's turned into one of those games where you PL to the end and then complete the final dungeon and quit." They nod knowingly. We have all played that game before. You may be willing to play that game for free, but you certainly don't pay for it.

My hopes for the future are sputtering out yet again.

well for the HARDCORE players... casuals like me has no lv 50 char ^^ ok im not playing right now.. but leveling in FFXIV isnt that fast.. and you not need to "PL" your charas up to lv 50.


Powerleveling was there also in FFXI.
Levelgrind shouldnt replace real content.


and you seem to forget that lv 50 wont be the cap of the game... the real endgame will be implemented via addons or patches. what about lv 50-> 60 being much much harder?

PL'ing just killed the grind party no need to argue here.

well one member of my linkshell just told me that he leveled much faster in a grind pt than a Power level player could ever do.

and its up to you. you dont need to be powerleveled.. look at me i am a level 39 con ;D (ok im playing not right now)
