    Question about buying expansions from the SE store

    So I'm looking to get HW, and am I reading the store page correctly that the PC boxed version which needs to be shipped to you is $19.99, while the version that you download is $39.99?

    I thought downloaded games were supposed to be cheaper because it cuts out the cost of disc production, packaging and shipping?

    That is true digital games are cheaper during launch, but there comes to a point where physical copies are wasting space and companies just want to get rid of them.

    Honestly, with this being square enix, i'm surprised they're not charging $60 for disk and download each.

    No you don't get free month unless you add different system to your account like the PS4 version.

    Physical games are generally cheaper than digital. Retailers often have sales to get rid of them to clear warehouse/shelf space where as digital does not take up any room.

    Even newly released games are cheaper, I get a discount on all new games from Amazon with my Prime membership so even new games are cheaper if I buy the disc version over the digital. Best Buy and Gamestop also have their own rewards programs for discounts on new games.
