I don't think players are against seeing this - but considering that this is the reason Yoshi P chose to name as to why he thought BLU was not a viable class for this game (e.g., players would shun BLUs who hadn't hunted down specific spells), the scripted ability acquisition was come up with as a way to show that we could get BLU into the game and not have to worry about this problem.

I'm sure most folks who love BLU would like to be able to hunt down their own spells, and have some of them be in hard-to-get places - but that's a model that has Yoshi P uneasy. Since he's calling the shots, it's worthwhile to show that we're cool with a compromise.

Saying, "Do it this way, or the job sucks!" is not likely to get us what we want, and this is an attitude many are expressing.
