FF Explorers ... didn't get all that far in it, but honestly, it seemed any multiplayer would be like WKC was, and not an MMO.
If you wanted to cite a handheld getting a MMO, apparently the Nintendo Switch is to get the DQ MMO. Go figure.

Explorers is built similarly to Monster Hunter. It uses a similar set-up for multi-player as they do.
Do you have the console so that you want it to be released on it?
What's the point of asking for it when:
- The console isn't even out yet
- No specs were released
- It's already available on PC, PS4 and PS3
It will only come to the Switch IF the console sales are high enough to take the effort to port it.
But that means, more resources spent on porting the game to a new platform and less resources making the actual game better, remember that.
FF explorers was pretty fun, the only problem was that the online game play was a nightmare. The framerate was so bad even on the 3DS XL.
Given the size of the device, I can't see it being on par with the Xbox One.My concern is if this thing has a decently sized hard drive.
My WiiU and NEW3DS both had to be outfitted with really large, and separately purchased from Nintendo, storage for my downloaded games. So even if the cartridges of this thing are basically mini solid state drives, a game the size of FFXIV may well be the only game you can download by 4.0's patch cycle.
That said, it really doesn't look like the Switch will be too weak to run the game, especially with the backend upgrades SE is putting into the servers, if it's truely on par with the XBONE. It won't be much different that laptop/or middle to lower level PC users.
I think the chances are good if Dragon Quest X can get an audience.
The NEW3DS was better, but it chugged along pretty miserably.
I actually bought Explorers expecting it to be like a mini FFXI/XIV, but got FF:Monster Hunter edition, instead. I didn't like it all that much since I dislike MH, even if I could rock Geomancer.
The only issue with that is how bleeding edge the hardware is going to be in this thing verses the now years old Xbone. The newer Xbox One that is power boosted (Scorpio, I think?) is actually smaller, so /shrug.
I don't think the Xbox One tech is small enough already to be put into a paper thin tablet. I could be wrong, but I don't think it will be as powerful as the base Xbox One, which means its going to become a case of "Switch limitations" rather than "PS3 limitations". The line up doesn't inspire too much confidence when the most graphically complex game was an updated version of a 2011 game.
Haha unfortunately no, explorers was in a way made from the old crystal chronicles series :P, so it kind of has that monster hunter/fantasy life kind of feel, but it is quite you should embrace it!
