Why horrible?
To be honest I think it's a very good controller design when when in handheld mode. Even the D-PAD are 4 separate buttons, something that would be much better to use with this game's cross hotbars.

I think the issue would be in terms of typing stuff out. Have you ever tried to use FFXIV's "keyboard"? It SUCKS enough that its more than worthwhile using an old USB keyboard in a PS3 or PS4.

Acording to the rumor mill it's not running Skyrim HD. It's just stock footage being used for the commercial. From what I heard Bethesda is saying they have nothing confirmed yet for development with Nintendo's new console. Same with EA, but to be frank. Zelda and the two Mario titles, might be the only ones showing its hardware performing. Unless it was a scripted clip doing the Nomans Sky thing to promote the console without actually showing anything running off of it.

Like in the other thread, the UI or HUD is the only thing that'll need tweeking for portable play. Then there's the thing on how you are supposed to type on it. However that all depends on the battery life if it can get 8 to 10 hours as a mobile device, great. Anything around 3 to 5 hours might not work to well for most gamers. On that topic I'm waiting to hear what the battery life is and if it can be replaced without replacing the whole thing.

No please dont SWITCH from ps3 to this.. Just let it be for Monster Hunter and thoose nintendo classic that works pretty well with that console.

I'm all In IF the Switch is good enough to cope with this game.

It's just a tablet with an Nvidia tegra. It is way slower than the regular PS4. We just got rid of the PS3 I really doubt FFXIV which is an MMORPG will come to a portable handheld. They better work it out with MS and bring FFXIV on XONE and Scorpio.

Isnt the Xbone issue still pretty much the same? that they want private servers? On that note idk how nintendo would react to that same issue, likely they would want private servers too.

As far as I'm aware, we DON'T KNOW what the specs are, all the stuff in this thread is speculative. Or can you link us to actual-factual Nintendo-approved specs for the thing?

Judging by the video even Zelda looks like it's running at 20FPS with almost nothing going on.

Seriously now, do you really think a handheld will be as powerful as a PS4?

If for some reason that happened the cost of the product would be insane and would be dead even before release.

We don't need another brick wall limited-by-consoles FFXIV.

Why drop PS3 to Support the Switch if the limitations would still be present? Even the PS4 isn't that good of a hardware, but should allow for some upgrades from the PS3 support drop.
