Even the original compositions were used, like for Ifrit Battle, etc. Sposhae Battle Music is completely new, not even scored by Uematsu.
Seriously though, my question has been answered. I am not saying the music is bad at all. All i am saying is that the music seems a bit mismatched, and reading that passage from the interview answered my question. Thanks again and please, if you don't have anything constructive to say, keep it to yourself. (not you Meow)
that battle music in Sposhae is amazing. Reminds me of Sinister Sundown from Kingdom Hearts. Need more music like it!

Pretty spot on, it does sound like music by Yoko.I'd also like to see more of this, or possible revamps using the same instruments or soundfonts. Z'aharak is also a great theme and is one of the revamps i love.

I don't think all the music in this game should be as lively and upbeat as that, there are times when it needs to be cheery or sorrowful or just plain relaxing.
I am a huge fan of Uematsu but I don't think his style really fits this game, the newer stuff fits much better.
I'm wondering if they'll end up doing that. I remember when I did my first leve in the Black Shroud and heard the music I was like WHAT IS THIS I DONT EVEN
It's bad ><

I can agree with that, there is always a need for the more calming themes, even Balamb Garden from FFVIII set the perfect mood. I'd like to hear some music that fits along with the scenery. There is nothing wrong with the La Noscae pre-1.18 theme, just the battle music didn't quite fit well with the wind instruments.

Needs more of this:
