    Version 2.0 - apparently the real miracle patch

    Why does it sound like everything and then some is promised for 2.0? Its gone from coming soon/looking into it/etc to: EXPECT IT IN 2.0!! It has gotten so out of hand people are just assuming at this point that the features they want will be in 2.0(even things never once mentioned) since they are promising the moon with it.

    This may have been answered but will subscribers of the current engine/servers get to beta test 2.0? If so will they actually listen this time when every single beta tester says it sucks/needs more time in the cooker?

    I don't know, but this 2.0 will have it all talk just isn't that believable..

    Can someone set me straight(without the if you don't like it leave crap) where is 2.0 will have every feature known to man thing coming from?

    Even "2.0" won't be an overnight change. There will be a 3-4 month window in which all the features mentioned will be applied to the new client.

    Honestly though, if their attempt to bring the game up to MMO standards (and hopefully beyond to remain competitive) is even partly successful then it's going to be one hell of a miracle patch(es).

    Uhm yes as I have seen all that. They intend for us to pay for a year, so they can fund the creation of 2.0. The stuff people complained about during beta still wont see the light of day until 2.0 and it will cost us roughly $120 give or take just to get there

    They intend for us to pay for a year for the content that is going out from 1.20-> 1.23.

    They got us invested into a story, and now they are saying if you want to see the rest its time to pay. and yoshis call on this was that the current build now has Final Fantasy elements(chocobos and airships.) That is crap reasoning, they need funding to build the new engine. So if I don't pay I don't get the rest of the story GOOD MOVE.

    2.0 is the re-release, not just a patch. Its supposedly an entirely new game. Everything we are paying for is content that leads up to that patch that nobody else will get to experience. Its not funding 2.0 so-to-speak.

    but said content will be nearly completely gone with 2.0. No chance to see it again. We are not paying for content of this build being added, we are paying for them to build 2.0 - be real. this content - moogle primal fight? assets already in the dats, same with titan. Only thing we are really getting is more text in this build
