Quest: Silent Partners (Level 20 Leatherworker)

It is most likeky that I am missing something obvoius but I am stuck on the level 20 leatherworkers quest, Silent Partners.
I need to have a Buffalo Leather Strap and a Buffalo Leather Spetch, but these items have now been removed from the game.
I looked on the market wards in Gridania but there are none being sold there.

Fairly sure that I must be missing something obvoius and would be grateful if the community could point out where I am going wrong.

the items have not been removed from the game. The recipies for both still exist. If you have 2 pieces of Buffalo Leather you can craft the materials.

Buffalo hide and leather are removed as well. You just have to go to Ul'Dah and hope people still have them up for sale. They thought about the Weaver quests but missed the leather working quests and armorer quests so far that I have seen. Weaver had the materials no longer attainable located at the guild vendor.

You can still get buffalo leather as a drop from enemies that used to drop them. Yg says you can get them off the bandits in Securing Horizon's edge.

Hello Parsival ^^. You can still get Buffalo Leather and Hide from enemies in game. Certain Buffalo Hide related synths are not used in 1.19 newly introduced recipes but can still be used in synthesis from old recipes. Bandit or Wolf enemies tend to drop buffalo materials the most. I'm also on the Rabanastre server so drop me a /tell if you see me in game and I"ll provide you with some buffalo hide if you still need it. Hope this helps.
