playing nin on that kind of ping sure if your not doing anything serious. I mean the mudra clipping will be awful you press one then thinking the server didn't pick up your press do it again then going off twice screwing up your ninjutsu altogether. The normal combos themselves will probably be alright, not great but passable. I would be more worried about mudras at that ping and if you can't get them going right with high ping you would be pretty screwed in terms of dps.

370 pings here,Regularly suffer from Latency Penalty but I think I'm ok since NIN ain't my main
And for NIN's ninjutsu...lets just say sometimes I went for Suiton or Huton but got Raiton instead.

I main on ninja, play from Australia...250 ping is really really painful for ninja as when you had huton on you get attack speed and all your gcd will bugged out as server cannot keep up the speed for transfer the attack data.
That is why I MUST have VPN or GPN (Mudfish cheaper and faster than WTFast. Only cost 3$ AUD for 3 months than WTFast $10 USD for 1 month) and I can get around 130-150 ping, as if 150+ ping my mudra will still bug out.

I will recommend you go BRD or MCH as you dont have to move so much and can easily dodge things.
BRD the only dps class can remove DEBUFF!!! EZ mode in weeping city, stand in haircut get a cool haircut! Help healer or WAR remove their debuff.
Yes BRD is my 2nd dps class, very fun to play since the buffs. But I only use BRD if going to somewhere need to remove debuffs, like Odin fate, weeping city, S rank hunts, etc.

If you really want melee classes, recommend you go DRG as they gonna buff it again in Stormblood with special UI for them, the MNK will get crazy buffed in Stormblood as it will be the main class in the story. For NIN, i really dont know...many of us main in NIN think it needs full revamp on it, will really have to see about how NIN goes, but IF seriously NIN get another aggro control skill and no revamp in Stormblood I might quit to the new jobs in Stormblood
