Question on Squadron recruitement

Problem: I'm not able to recruite a 4th squadron member since 2 weeks in order to start training / levelling. What I did:

- Took the quest at Limsa Lominsa Upper decks (13.1 / 12.7)
- Spoke in the "Barracke" to the training squadron officer (He tells me by completing challenge logs, I will get occassionally new squadrons to hire)
- I completeted approx. 20-25 challenge logs during the last days
- The letter on the table in the "Barracke" is telling: "No new squadrons available"
- My rank is second storm Lieutenant
- Side Quest "Rising to the challenge is completed

Anyone can help? Just very bad rng? What I'm doing wrong here?

You need to reach Second storm Lieutenant in order for the quest "Squadron and Commander" to appear(Rising to the challenge is a requirement) to the Storm personnel officer. I believe afterwards you will start getting recruitments.

I can't think of anything you're doing wrong, however there are certain challenges in the challenge log that don't give a chance of a recruit. Beast Tribe Quests, Retainer Ventures, Companions, Player Commendation, Wondrous Tails, and Overall Completion challenge log categories don't give a chance to recruit, so if most of the challenges you've completed fall in these categories then that could be a reason.

Otherwise it's probably just bad rng. Some of my FC mates had a similar hard time.

Ok, this maybe be the reason combined with bad rng; I always completed the challenge logs "wounderous tail", "Beast tribes", "companions", "Retainer Ventures" that fall according your post under the "Non considered" categories. Hope Goldsaucer, crafting/gathering challenges will count, because these ones I do as well every week.

I don't believe its bad rng, at least for the first recruitment. Personally, i got my first after 1-2 challenges (for dungeons) but 25?

Maybe if you train them once?

I cannot not train them, because i have only 3 people available; or do I miss here something completely?

Say what now? How the flying .... are you supposed to know that. Is there a list somewhere which tells you what challenges does give recruits?

wow that is some bad luck
I got most of my recruits just playing the punch Gilgamesh game in gold saucer (~100 MGP from it completes 2x challenge logs entries and only takes about a minute to do).
