I'll just tune into the SSD conversation and say this:
Even on a PS3, I load into areas and dungeons faster than every PS4 and PS4pro player. An SSD makes a huge difference in loading times it's almost ridiculous.

The Pro comes with a 5400 RPM HDD, lol.
But yes, even if people buy the Pro and this game gets a Pro patch, a SSD will always make a big difference.

Rise of Tomb Raider also looks rather nice on the Pro, though for some reason it seems to drop frames in the "enhanced visuals" mode, or so it seemed.
Skyrim looks so nice
I should have installed my 2 Tb drive i had on my other PS4 but just wanted to play, haha

Bear in mind that even on the most powerful PC FFXIV still runs, & looks, like a game from a decade ago (even the DX11 version) due to the graphics & optimisation choices. SE has a pseudo-policy of ensuring that all players have a similar experience given that they play on cross platform servers. Until the PS3 is abandoned for good come 4.0 there won't be any major changes.
There is a genuine potential for FFXIV 4.0 to look, & play, exceptionally superior to what we currently have if, & only if, SE realise the potential of the PS4 (+Pro) & PC.

You can always use the backup function, no?
Myself i just saved game saves and what not t a usb and only re-installed games i knew i would go back to.
