I've had a 250gb samsung evo 840 (i think it was) running for a while now, and loading times are a LOT faster, often i'm running around before others in my party even appear.
I just bought a 4k tv and it's arriving soon, so I am glad you made this thread.
How was the transition from PS4 to the pro with FF14?
WOW! The load times on a SSD are super fast. And moving every over to the pro is easy just make sure you upload your system data to the cloud or a USB drive.
I don't have a Pro, but it's the same thing until patched.
A console it's not a PC where you upgrade the CPU or GPU and see immediate benefits, things need to be patched first.

That is correct, sony made it clear that games will need to be patched for the enhancements to come into effect.
I highly recommend if people can, to get a SSD, i have an old one, 120GB OCZ Agility 3, even Windows 10 is installed on it long FFXIV, then i have normal HDDs.
Even on console it will make a big difference, just by clicking the buttons to change jobs it goes from a few seconds until character loads all gear to instantly showing all gear even if spamming the job buttons, this is an example.
I assume even the menu interaction on PS4 will be faster, i put my white PS4 on sale yesterday and got 12 replies in under 5 minutes which is a lot considering where i live, i'm only selling it for 200€ with GTA5, Destiny and Dragon Quest Heroes, i didn't use the console that much so it's dirty cheap. Dude comes to get it today.
I only did this after i read FF15 is getting 60FPS on Pro, but they're still working on it, really hope they get it to 60.
However i don't like the color of the current Pro, i guess i'll wait for a white one again (to match my PC color), i've waited this long to play FF15 can wait a few more months until they release more color variations of the Pro.

Would be nice if Square could at least let us know if they are considering a pro patch.

Nice thread. If I didn't get it wrong to keep settings/gearsets/crossbars and whatnot I only have to use the upload to cloud with PS+? Can anyone confirm? Thank you!

I'll just tune into the SSD conversation and say this:
Even on a PS3, I load into areas and dungeons faster than every PS4 and PS4pro player. An SSD makes a huge difference in loading times it's almost ridiculous.
The Pro comes with a 5400 RPM HDD, lol.
But yes, even if people buy the Pro and this game gets a Pro patch, a SSD will always make a big difference.
