While I don't have the lorebook myself (God SE don't want to cater to non-Japanese Asian sometimes) some nice individuals have scanned and posted theirs. This links to SMN section https://goo.gl/rbspXX

According to the book, the Caller attire was excavated at Silvertear Lake. It's gaudy(!!!!) design indicates that the garb was made during glorious times of summoners, and likely used for ceremonial purposes, though some speculates that the garb has more practical use for its arcane properties.

The grimoire Almandal is also confirmed to be of Allagan origin although there's no information who the owner was. The grimoire contains knowledge of summoning four primals, and the design on the cover is believed to be combined aspects of every primal egi the owner once commanded. The full incantations have become nearly unreadable though.

Maybe a hint for a 4th egi summoner will be able to invoke later?

I agree that the Sephirot and Sophic weapons are most likely of the respective tribe/nation origin, the weapons are made in the image of their gods. The Demiurge adds all have their own Sophic weapon.

It's still unclear why they wear Allagan gear like Scylla robe. Maybe the design was originally Meracydian, maybe their nations weren't that hostile before and they got them from trade. Nothing but speculations now.

My headcanon is that the garb is Meracydian, and that the bosses who wear them in CT are all Meracydian heroes, captured and brainwashed to serve Allag for all eternity...

...which isn't much of a stretch really. We know that Phlegthorn was a rebel against the empire who met that fate. It's entirely possible that he sought help from the Meracydian Goddess nation, who gave him arms and armour to fight against Allag. I don't think we have much lore on Scylla and Glasya Labolas to back that up.

Glasya was an Imperial Honour Guard who willingly chose to be experimented on, and got immortality to serve the great Emperor Xande forever.

Scylla was a rival of Amon who reluctantly got talked (tricked) into the modification experiments, when she came to she was surrounded by the very creatures she hated most - hounds.

The demiurges in Sophia's fight wear the same garb, and they seem to be citizens of Meracydia tempered by Sophia.

Moved the ST gear to the 3rd category with this in mind. Though this bump reminded me that Ethys mentioned some of Allag's military branches in his Sophia video. I wonder if the outfits were made the uniforms of these branches
