    The Feast ques are dead again.

    No lesson was learned from Season 1 and the ques are dead again with Top 100 locked out, because it's not in people's interests to que and risk to lose a rating.

    Isn't it time to make ratings deteriorating in Season 3? If you don't que and don't play you should make a place for those who que and play.

    I still see some players queuing up on the primal DC.

    Well Chaos is pretty Dead now. I totaly get it. We often have unranked people trying to climb the ladder as soon as they see the rewards coming out. Im in the top 100 on a save spot and i dont wanna risk it tbh.

    Doesn't Chaos also have a smaller player pool, as well?

    Most of the data centres have around 10-13 worlds, but Chaos only has 8. I'd wager the average number of matches played is generally lower on your that data centre; although, I do see quite a few people with well over a 1000 under their belts. That's pretty impressive, especially if you compare it to some of the numbers on more populated data centres. Quality over quantity, I guess.

    I often wonder how some of these players would stack up in the arena against one another. It would be nice if we could organize some X-Data Centre matches, if only for better queue times and to bring the more passionate players of the community a little closer together.

    With 2 season to try to get, what's pretty much the same rewards minus the new headgear, that is a decent amount of time. Even I am in the top 100 and im not at all that good.

    People are still queuing on Primal. In fact, queue times have actually increased in solo-queue over the last week, which ... doesn't really change much, to be honest.

    The only people who are really at risk are the bottom 5 of the top 10, as they stand to lose their spot for a crown if someone bumps them too low, and the bottom 10 of the top 100, as they could potentially get bumped out of the top 100 by anyone climbing up the silver ladder. The point gap in the bottom 20 spaces isn't all that big, so anyone in those rankings is probably a little nervous. That said, there hasn't been much movement.

    All the same, I still agree with the OP. Something has to be done about people who just ride an early win streak. The system basically encourages us to queue up in the first week or two while everyone is unranked/bronze and horde as much points as possible before taking a long vacation. That's just stupid. There's no excuse for there to be people in the top 100 who haven't queued since the first week. If you don't have to compete to win, then it's a mockery of competition. I can only imagine how the people on Aether feel about it, considering what their top 5 looks like. I'm glad Primal hasn't been that bad, but the fact that it can even happen at all is a joke. I don't know if rating decay is the answer, but something has to be done about it.

    Rating decay is what's needed tbh. Right now if you get in a spot you want to be in, it becomes a question of why bother queuing and risk losing that spot? We all know how Feast is, especially with the horrible match making this season. Queuing just to throw the dice and hope you don't get a bunch of first timers on your team just isn't worth it. With decay you'd have to queue or you are guaranteed to lose that spot.

    I'm inclined to agree. My only concern is the matchmaking.

    The concept of winning without playing grinds my gears, but I've been on too many losing streaks with new or first time players to not see the writing on the wall. Having a rating decay would force top-end players to queue, but the current matchmaking would also force them into matches with scrubs like me, or worse. They'd basically be damned if they did and damned if they didn't. Queues would be incredibly active all season long, but staying within the top 100 would almost be a gamble in itself.

    Personally, I would really love to see a rating decay implemented, but not alone. SE would also have to make adjustments to either the matchmaking (which would be bad for queues and therefore contribute to decay anyway), or to point distribution (adjusting the amount won or lost based on rank/new player bonus/etc). It's not just a one and done fix. SE needs to sit down and take a good long look at it if they want to make an honest shot at having it function correctly.

    If they had a dedicated cross data center server for feast and FL ques...for an ultimate pvp challenge, that would be insanely hawt. Talk about uniting a small pvp community in the whole game. (can we have it!?) plz ; ;
