I can't remember if they said during the keynote if they wanted to simplify it or not. I do remember though that they wanted to repurpose and get rid of useless skills. People find featherfoot to be really useless, as a lv60 monk myself, I find the fists of earth and wind to be even more useless because they don't have a use past 50 whatsoever. It could be complicated, but what I have in mind is that it changes the skills of abilites we have already learned to suit the forms. That in itself gives the two other forms a use, while still keeping the class as it was: a martial arts based class but with different forms of martial arts.
