While it can be argued that it's unnecessary for skills like Jump which get used dozens of times over the course of a fight, creating many points of failure, it's a bit useless to compare it to Assassinate. You only get around 1-3 uses of Assassinate over the course of the fight and provided you line it up with your buffs, it still leaves you with a MASSIVE window to find a safe GCD to use it on. Assassinate is not something you have to press as soon as the button lights up. That said I don't really agree on removing the Jump animation lock either, just so others can suffer as I have suffered.
