Level 30, I mean seriously stop being lazy it takes a 4 days to 2 weeks for players to get a job to 60 depending on whether your a casual player or hardcore. Do you want them to mail you top-tier gear as well because farming gear is such an inconvenience, heck let's have SE introduce auto-actions like in FF13 to make your life even easier.

I will try to be constructive and serious instead of some reply i read around here about "it's lame" and such.

The level it will likely be 30 for a very simple reason many players already stated in this post. The classes our characters are currently gaining are "Jobs", not "base classes". A "Job" or "Advanced class" is something unique with memory data (kinda) stored in a soul crystal, that is why lore wise they can "learn" a new job with the skills unlocked at level 30. In the Summoner Job quest you can see how an Ascian gives to the black summoner the memories of the Allagan and the summoning magic to call forth a power long forgotten in time. That is how a soul crystal works, it gives the memories of knowledge about the job to it's user... A user that has to gain the right to recieve that knowledge.

My money is on level 30 for lore reasons.

And i really, reaaaaaaaally hope it's not level 60. I want to learn to use the class and unlock the skills, i dont play a game to have everything done from the start.

And story wise the jobs should be unlocked inside the Stormblood expansion, unless they plan to add the NPC outside that area it makes no sense to gain it before advancing to that point of the storyline.

Edit: We have also to be aware of the changes on the combat/skills, like the "Role Skills" they talked about in the fanfest. That intrigues me a lot.

    class at level 1
    job at level 30

All what matter is, will the new jobs start as a job or as a class?

New zones start with lv 61

To level up the new jobs there is still central highlands

Level up dungeon roulette (lv 17-49, 51-59, 61-69)
There will be always players in low level dungeons. Expect lv 66 characters in Sastasha.

I think they will stick to the advanced job theme, but make them require classes of the appropriate role at level 30. So DRK will require Gladiator or Marauder at 30, RDM (if a DPS) will require a Lancer, Pugilist or Rogue at 30, etc.

How about 35-40. It would make training the new jobs about even.

As a hardcore player I don't enjoy fate grinding and would prefer the new jobs start at 60. I do not want to have to replay old content that I did so many times to level all my jobs to 60. As you can see I have leveled every job in the game to 60. I can read the tool tips on the skills and figure out the optimal rotations. Doing a bunch of fates does not teach you how to play the job. You really only learn how to play the job and the level capped rotation once you hit the end.

Stormblood jobs should not start at 30 or 50 because the grind from 50-60 is huge and takes like 2 weeks of mindless fate grinding.

I really hope the new jobs start at 60 so if you want to play them you can get right in and do the new expansion content with them.

If they stick to their word and keep the new jobs outside of SB areas instead of gated behind the new city as they did with HW, 30 still feels like a reasonable level to start, but you need to have another base class that high to get it.

Perhaps also hide them in areas with higher level mobs, like Mor Dhona, Camp Bluefog, etc.

But, I'd really rather just have classes attached and make them alternate paths ala SMN/SCH, just without the role change messing up the skill selection. It feels more organic that way, and we won't have a repeat of all these new players frustratingly dropping out after being enticed by a job they can't play without pumping in a hundred hours of game time.

Honestly I have no clue where this idea that grinding lower levels taught you anything. I don't really think 20 levels of spamming Impulse Drive as a lancer really taught me anything. Jobs are pretty straight forward, and your most optimal way of dealing damage is pretty obvious. The only real difficulty comes with learning how your personal class mechanics interact with a boss's mechanics, and you don't learn that while leveling.
