Guys, I think we should avoid having too much chat in this thread about things that aren't error reports to keep it easy for referencing. If we are going to discuss other related things, we should make a new thread.

Understood, but just let me add one last message since we hardly see Koji on the forums outside of the lore section.

After posting yesterday, I started thinking about the message and how I may have made it sound like the fault for the various errata that made it into the final version should in some way be placed at the feet of the many testers who worked on the lore book. I wanted step in again to make it clear that this was most definitely not my intention. The translators and fact checkers in the Localization Department, as well as the talented men and women on our world-class Quality Assurance busted their asses (pardon my French) to make sure this book was as clean as it could be. If anyone needs to shoulder the blame for the typos, flubs, and (hangs head in shame) factual errors, it is me, for I was in charge of approving those final edits. (Or me for not figuring a way to get Anonymoose on the editing board!)

That said, I continue to be amazed and humbled at how the book has been received by the community. I know a lot of you have waited so long for something like this, and I am proud to have been given the chance to be a part of it. This is probably why those errors pain me the most. I’ll do my best to address the majority of the glaring discrepancies here in this thread. As for the spelling and grammatical errors? Any way we can file them under analog charm? No?

    Koji
All is forgiven for the typo erros Koji! Just one small favor if I may, is it possible for you to personally pass on words to Yoshi-san and see if he can somehow get the English version of the lore book up on Amazon (or any other large-scale international shipping stores?) please? I know it won't be easy, but I believe many, many more players (myself included) would love to get their hands on a copy of your effort and hard work. I know it won't be easy, but could you try please? >_<

On the map of the zone, the letter E, indicating The Gold Court, is instead placed on the Weavers' Guild.

There is a part very close to the beginning of the first paragraph which reads:

"While Aldenard is longitudinally situated farther south than Ilsabard, the towering spires which line the region's northern border are covered in snow year round, and the land beyond them is permanently frozen."

I believe Aldenard in this sentence should actually be Othard, as Aldenard's northern regions would have seemingly no route for their waters to reach Othard unless they passed through Ilsabard as well. (The blurb also later states that mountains and wastelands are the reason for there having been little interaction between Ilsabard and Othard until recently, so I assume this would go hand in hand with that.)

I suppose this aspect is part of personal interpretation, so let's leave that out of this discussion for now. My apologies for bringing it up.

Back on topic, the specific details of the event itself still contradicts what is said in the game. Not that I find them unreasonable or in the field of "no way would that ever happen" but the wording in the game indicates that she is the one who approached him and willingly revealed herself, not the other way around. I'd like some clarification on the connection between the lore book and the game events if that's at all possible, as right now they seem to be saying two completely different things ^^

This is probably more of a "times, they are a-changin'" thing, but I figured I'd leave it here for the sake of completeness. Back in the day, plasmoids were defined as voidsent. Likewise, I've never seen a phurble called an Elemental before, so that's interesting. Perhaps scholars just know better these days.

EDIT: And Dullahans are soulkin here, whereas the minion said they were "in fact" voidsent. Is this the doing of the Trappers' League or the meddling Sharlayans? /fistshake

I'd like to request to the devs that they hand-wave this under "it's not a bug, it's a feature!". Real academics slap-fight all the time over where to classify a species according to a taxonomy that is in itself is under constant debate so it'd actually seem more realistic to me if creatures like phurbles and spriggans just kept changing classification.

I'm assuming that, as well. Same with gnats, which were entirely vilekin in 1.0 but clearly intended-voidsent now.

Hey, even Raimdelle himself tried unsuccessfully to convince his contemporaries to classify ducks as spoken.

    (Probably for the best.)

Refers to the thirteen-rung hierarchy of voidsent. All other references number the rungs at twelve.

    Unless the truth has slipped...!?

"... These troubadours not only appear have understood Amon's commands ..."

"... These troubadours not only appear to have understood Amon's commands ..."

Might just be archaic speech patterns, but I did a double take since they're lacking in the rest of the paragraph.
