Pretty much all the complaints I heard during PS3's running days or at least some of em, can't remember most. We still have a bit more time till then but I'd like to remember all the things that were unattainable because of the "limitations" and "lack of resources", because we all know, once PS3 is gone, we can have alllll these things......right?

Well it's either that or find a way to add we want without it being a problem for PS, which I don't see happening =/ I'm just getting sick of SE's "PS limitations" excuses for everything, so something needs to be done :P

If you're sick of seeing that written then stop writing it. PS4 imposes no limitations on the game as it stands. This is just more pointless division based on console/PC snobbery. I wish people would shut up about console vs PC and just accept that we are all playing a game we enjoy and regardless of platform we play together.

I think they should drop Playstation support all the way if they keep coming with excuses like this =/ I get the reason why they added ps support into the mix, but that shouldn't be a reason for them not to make the game the way we (the dev team and players) want it to be.

I mean, if it's going to hold you back, why keep doing it? So just drop PS support SE!

The new PS3 limitations is now "We need PS5."

Let's do basic math. You have I believe 104 dyes in the game at this point in time. That means you have 104 variables when dyeing a piece of armor, now the question asked which brought about needing a PS5 was the ability to dye using two different colors, so rather than changing one color you change two pieces of your armor to two unique colors. This means you have 104 times 103 which would be 10,712 different variations for your armor. It's just a lot of data to keep in mind and that's just for one piece of armor. Think about just 50 piece of armor in the game that you can dye, that is currently a total of 5200 variables however now you have two options for dyeing and that jumps up to 535,600 variables. It just becomes more and more exponential because while you might think "oh it's simple to just add a secondary color into an MMO." the truth is it isn't.

Hearing the answers to the Fanfest Q&A, everytime someone asked about the things that were formerly pushed aside with "PS3 limitations" got answered with "we need the PS5 for that" now.
And I can guarantee, once PS5 gets released (or whatever Sony throws onto the market next), we'll hear "PS4 limitations" and once PS4 support gets dropped, they'll find another excuse..

My one wish is for Au'ra to look like what they were suppose to look like in their concept art... well that and Viera... and Dancer... and more dresses. . _.

Hopefully by finally dropping PS3 we can finally get some good character customization options.

A lot of what you listed is server limitations so dropping PS3 will have no effect.

PS3 was the bogeyman for players with every design decision blamed on that.

You wont get more customisation, maybe slightly more elaborate hairstyles and tattoos but there's going to be no more sliders. AuRa wont be changed either: they look like SE want them too. There's also the issue that changing models could piss a lot of players off who like the current ones.

Zones might get prettier and slightly bigger but it's not going to change the game in a meaningful way.
