Feedback: Griffin Animation Speed

I found the Griffin's animation to be very slow when running compared to the other mounts. It makes it feel like Griffin is very slow even though all the mounts' base speed are the same. I bought the Collector's Edition just for the Griffin and found it to be a disappointment. I would appreciate if you guys could speed up the Griffin's animation to be more like the Chocobos. And this is a small suggestion, please make more new variety of Griffin mounts. Make them more rough-looking like the dragons and Warlions! God bless you, thanks!

I disagree, in fact, I think the griffin is one of the few mounts that looks great both running on the ground and flying - a certain dragon mount (

) looks awesome in flight but lumbers ponderously along the ground like a drunk elephant. Either way, I don't think the griffin's animation needs to be changed, it's fine as it is. But that's just my personal feeling.

That's good to know that someone else appreciates Griffins! Have you noticed that the Lalafell's smaller Griffin is much faster than the bigger ones? I think the Griffin looks beautiful and awesome and I just wanted it to go a little faster, that's all. The Griffin flying is awesome, though. Hopefully there'll be more different Griffin mounts in the future.

It has to do with scaling; all mounts have to move the same speed regardless of which mount it is or what race is riding it, so the larger ones -- particularly the griffin, which is huge -- have to have slower animations so their longer "stride" doesn't make them faster, particularly when ridden by larger races. They can't speed up the animation without either making the griffin faster for larger races than smaller ones, or making it look like it's essentially on a treadmill and gliding across the ground.
