Red Mage confirmed or nah?

People on these forums just like to naysay and fuss. If its probably RDM and when it gets confirmed for real in a few months all the people complaining that its to obvious or slap on tinfoil hats saying YP is trying to trick them will act like they knew all along. Post history is hilarious for looking who the blowhards are.

Best part is these are probably also the very same people acting like the kata from the girl in the Stormblood trailer means Dancer confirmed. Apparently big Red Mage hint is a trick but a girl in the trailer who is probably actually a monk confirms dancer? ha

They wore a Batman shirt and a 007 shirt for the last fanfest which equated to Dark Knight and Machinist, not Caped Crusader and Double Agent. So it's best to just see scarlet witch for what she is as a whole, she wears red and uses magic, there is no more complexity to it and no need to because they are just repeating what they did last time, the dark knight and a secret agent known to use guns/spy gear aka machines/technology.

99.99% chance it's Red Mage. Most likely, he didn't say anything out loud because it's in such a stage of development, that saying anything about it right now could very likely be heavily changed when it goes live. If he said "Red Mage is in" doubtless there'd be follow up questions, and committing to answers this early is dangerous.

I guess because they were somewhat popular jobs in XI. Same goes for Dancer and Samurai.

Seriously, though, I think folks who like RDM are folks who like the idea of a front-line, magic-using combatant - something this game currently only has with Dark Knight and, to a lesser extent, Paladin.
