"Steps of Faith" Canons

I'm watching Mr Happy's video on this (the only one I can find) and he mentions that a healer may be assigned to 'use the canons'.

So, on the off chance this could happen to me, just HOW do I 'use' a canon. What I mean is how do I interact with these things, I've never used any mechanical weapon in the game so what do I click/press/whatever?

Given there's no way I see I can experiment it'd be nice to have some clue before I'm expected to perform.

Do you have a mount with actions? Basically it replaces your main line with the cannon actions which you use and aim like a ground target aoe.

And yes, should have 1 tank + 1 healer on cannons. Don't need 2 tanks or 2 healers for that fight and putting a dps there is a waste.

Usually it's 1 healer and 1 tank on the cannons (there are 2 cannons), and the other tank gets all the adds and the other healer heals the party. The cannon people also use things called "lures" (I think) when they become available (they're located right behind the cannons when they're available). Someone from the party should also climb up a tower to use a dragonkiller located there when the boss has been chained with the lures. Good luck!
