The price is justified for the statue as you aren't paying for the emote. It is as simple as that. The statue is also very well crafted and had lots of care put into it so this gets a free pass, imo. Something like the dress which is 18 dollars doesn't though.

I just looked up the statue and $100 seems fair. That tends to be the going price for detailed collectibles like this. The emote is really a just fun little thing they added on to the purchase.

It's a bundle. You can think of that what you want (like I don't care that much about such stuff), but don't deny that fact.
If you buy a collecters edition it's the same. You get the main game and some stuff 'as bonus'. But you [i]paid for that[\i].
There is just no statue without emote (like there is a 'game without extra stuff' = normal edition), so some people seem not be able to see it.
You bought HW CE? You 'bought' the gryphin mount.
You buy the statue? You 'bought' the emote.

Luckely the promotion where I live didn't force me to buy magazines. I bought the new Deus Ex game which I wanted anyway. So for me the attire was a bonus.
If it had still been a magazine (3 for everything if I remember correct) I would probably not get it due to the waste of money on something I would not use.

the odin statue was 150$ at Fan Fest and its easy to afford if your like me and let your want overpower your priority XD i spent way to much at Fan Fest now im in a rough spot but ill manage i hope XD on the other hand did meet yoshi and had my encyclopedia signed!

I think the get a job answers on here and the save up for it if you want it and you think you are so entitled makes me think of Marie Antoinette quote of "let them eat cake" where people cannot see how privileged they are and cannot see how others don't have the same good fortune. The game is sadly turning into a reflection of real life, where rich people get the most. (yes I know all about SE being a business, needs to make money etc) it's sad as this game was kinda an escape from reality for me :s

But you don't need a emote for that I think people overreacting just look at all the new event emotes/cash shop emotes no one using them and I bet no one will use that one either after few days idk why ppl complain so much about it it wont really affect u in any way. People need to get priorities if you cant afford it you simply cant thats how it works. "expensive" also depends on the player dont see why ppl complain there are alot of exclusive stuff in any game including ffxiv be it via events or cash shop or other stuff like fanfest stream purchase. Just move on no one will care about the emote after a time. If I buy it I will probably just give the emote away. xd

Even the Heavensward collectors edition allowed the ability to buy the ingame items separately. We should be discouraging this practice, not accepting it.

Speaking of the Heavensward physical collectors edition.. those CDs and that artbook I got.. where's my minion codes for that? Nah? No? Am I just mistaken cause it's 3am and I'm staying up because I want to buy a lorebook that was allegedly going to be in the shop at midnight?
